Creative Development and Conceptual Development.

The concept for an attention grabbing advertisement must come from somewhere. Here, I describe my strategic and creative process and show samples of how the original ideas look prior to art or text revisions. You can see the final advertisements on the pages Work B2B and Work B2C.

I started out as a conceptual art director and digital designer, after graduate school, at one of Chicago’s leading creative agencies working on many big accounts for leading corporations in both B2C and B2B markets. I proceeded by freelancing in numerous Chicago agencies to learn more and to explore a more diverse set of creative skills to prepare myself for starting my own agency. After opening my own agency, I have provided my clients with full agency services. As the owner, I have been responsible for all tasks from marketing assessments, strategic development, integrated multi-media marketing and advertising planning, creative development and production in all media. I have developed successful campaigns by managing writers, designers, art directors and production artists and have produced campaigns that helped my clients reach leading brand positions and increase sales and market share.

I start by listening to my client which is followed by researching his products, competitive advantages and weaknesses, the market, the competition and customers. During the creative development process, I explore many ideas to make sure that my client gets the best possible advertisements and marketing content that will build their brand efficiently and increase their sales and market share with maximum ROI. At times, I test out conceptual ideas as I work out the details of the strategy to ensure the strategy will work.

Throughout this website, I only show advertisements and marketing campaigns that are based on my own concepts. When someone else came up with the idea or concept I am not including that campaign on this site. I have also produced most of the design and digital work displayed here to show my hands-on experience. I do much of the conceptual writing but prefer to work with writers and proofreaders. I have great respect for good writers and I have been lucky to have worked with some of the best.

On this Creative Development page I show original conceptual sketches and scribbled down ideas which were used as base to developing advertisements. The ideas you see below are taken right out of my sketch books or are marker layouts prepared for clients. This is how my ideas and concepts look like when they are raw.
